Story
At Kamaila near Lusaka in Zambia Water for Kids paid for and with local assistance from environmental health officers installed seven wells for a community of several hundred people including many mothers and children. Afterwards mothers said, " We used bad water for drinking and there wer lots of diseases, especially malaria and diarrhoea. Before the well was not covered and it was not good for health, insects got into the water." There is also no longer a need for these mothers to walk six kms to the previous water source and carry the water back.
