Story
I've put up this fundraising page on behalf of our choir, Sing for Joy, and hope you will join our 10th birthday celebration this year by making a donation towards our £2,000 special appeal. All you need to do is go to the donate button here.
Don't forget to tick the Gift Aid box if you're a tax payer as we are a registered charity, and get an extra 25% from the Treasury.
We've had a great 10 years as a self managed group, and, over the years, have benefitted from your support. With your continuing support our singing community will have another 10 years bringing voice therapy, and pleasure, to people with Parkinson's disease and other neurological conditions.
As you probably know we helped to set up another Sing for Joy choir (Bloomsbury), which is also going strongly. We also recently learned that, since we started, over 50 choirs have been set up by, and for, people like us. We certainly encouraged many of the new choirs, and directly helped others. So, you've helped us spread the word about how singing benefits people with long term neurological conditions.
Sing for Joy members have taken part in many fundraising events. These have included cabarets, Christmas carol concerts with Parkinson's UK, carol singing in Stoke Newington, singing in St Pancras station, as well as running workshops, a garden party and our weekly rehearsals.
We hope you will continue to support us.
Thanks for taking the time to visit our birthday JustGiving page.
All possible joy to you and yours.
