Story
Another big challenge this year; I have always wanted to do the London to Brighton Bike Ride, but, having been told by those in the know that this would be far too congested, I have decided to ride from Brentwood to Brighton on the 18th September when there won’t be so many riders on the roads.
This route is actually 80 miles long - the London to Brighton is a mere 58 miles! A daunting task as, after doing a 51 mile training ride, I could hardly sit down!
I will be continuing to raise money for SNAP (Special Needs and Parents) and I very much value your support for this very worthy charity
To put your mind at rest, I am not riding alone. I will be riding on the back of a tandem with one of my patients who is a club cyclist. Ralph Mullan is a very experienced rider and I know I will be in very good hands. I am very grateful for Ralph’s support and encouragement and of course his excellent steering skills! There will be no resting or catching 40 winks on this ride as Ralph can tell when I’m not peddling!
I have booked a day of good weather and if anyone wants to wave us off or meet us in Brighton let me know and I’ll give you details of times and places
Thank you
