Story

We've been going to Hope Cove and the surrounding beaches of Bigbury Bay for many years and, together with all the visitors to this amazing place, enjoy the sea.

The Life Boat is manned by local volunteers who live and work in the area and who risk their lives to help those who find themselves in trouble on the sea.

A few years ago the Maritime and Coastguard Agency found they were unable to continue to directly finance the costs of running the Life Boat. The Life Boat is now funded entirely by voluntary donations. You can read the story here http://www.hopecovelifeboat.org

We, like many others, already support the Life Boat with a regular contribution but there is still a shortfall in funding every year and so we have set ourselves the challenge of raising and contributing a little more to help ensure the Life Boat at Hope Cove can continue to be there to help those who are in trouble at sea.
