Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
While enjoying at beer or two towards the end of 2015 (it always starts with a beer!), Mike Howard and me, Wayne Fletcher decided to take on a challenge. Something that would take us out of our comfort zones. We decided on the Hereford Triathlon.
For Mike, running is a real test of his creaky knees and I can barely swim a length! A challenge indeed!
But we wanted our efforts to benefit a worthy cause. Without much debate, we quickly decided on Hereford Hospital Special Care Baby Unit.
We are both Dads to young children and know many Herefordshire parents who have benefited from the fantastic care of the SCBU when their new born babies have needed some extra special help upon their arrival in the world.
Hereford SCBU is something very close to my heart after my youngest son spent the first 3 weeks of his life there when he was born with bacterial meningitis in 2013.
The care he received and the support my wife Sarah and I received was absolutely wonderful during what was a very scary time for our family.
Therefore, the challenge is set, Hereford SCBU is the cause and the training has begun for Sunday 3 July 2016!
Any donations would be gratefully received by Mike and I and will drive us on in our training for the challenge ahead.
