We set up sustainable schools in Africa to improve access to quality education

Story

Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I have been lucky enough to receive a place with PEAs to take part in the 2016 London Marathon. PEAs is a global charity that aims to offer quality education across Africa. In Africa, 1 in 3 children leave school before the age of 11. PEAs strive to change this through their SmartAid approach involving a long term, sustainable strategy to ensure that equal opportunities will continue to develop and benefit future generations.

In 2014, when I volunteered at a school in a remote area of Tanzania, I saw the positive benefits of such schemes and the importance of supporting these schools at the local level, working with communities to insure the quality of education is sustained. The money I hope to raise has potential to educate 20 children for up to a year. Any donations would be greatly appreciated!!

Many Thanks. X
