Fundraising for National Literacy Trust
Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. I can't thank you enough for donating towards my fundraising. Its the first time I've made a big commitment like this and want to give it my all for both the charity and also for all those who are helping me along the way by donating.
I've been very lucky in my upbringing where my family have provided me with everything I've needed to learn, grow and develop to become the person I am and their consistent support continues to make me a stronger person.
There are many children in the UK who don't have access to the necessary funds to obtain books, equipment or receive the required level of education or support needed to succeed through obtaining skills and qualifications.
The National Literacy Trust helps families by providing learning materials, skills workshops, promoting the importance of literacy and the importance of good vision as 80% of a child's learning is through their sight alone.
As part of my fund-raising every person who has donated is also travelling with both myself and my official mascot
Scooby-Doo around the Isle Of Wight from the comfort of their couch. If you could please leave your full name(s) I'm planning on printing the names of all the kind people who have donated to the cause onto my t-shirt which will be worn on the day. You will be part of something bigger!
I will be posting pictures over the next few weeks up to the challenge to show you what I've been up to.
