Story
Hi there!
The Little Things aims to improve the healthcare in developing countries. Last year, they funded an eye clinic for St Elizabeth Hospital in Arusha, Tanzania. The charity's aim this year is focusing on improving the health care system in the Northern Province of Sri Lanka.
The funds will go towards Jaffna Teaching Hospital, where we hope to install an MRI scanner, which will be the first MRI scanner in the entire Northern region of Sri Lanka. In Kilinochchi, we will fund a premature baby clinic for the District General Hospital. We hope to provide life-saving equipment for these prematurely born babies. In Vishwamadu we plan on installing equipment and furniture for a primary outpatient hospital that is currently being developed and finally in Tharumapuram Hospital, we plan to install equipment that will aid the staff to better manage and treat their patients.
I am challenging myself to the Machu Picchu trek and at the same time my aim is to raise as much money as I can to better the lives of people in Sri Lanka.
Any donations will be greatly appreciated! If you would like to know more about The Little Things, please find the website below.
