Macquarie European Financials team plus extras (Ed, Anna, Namita and Robin) aim from time to time to complete a challenge that both gets us out from behind the desk and raises money for amazing local charities - which Macquarie has agreed to match fund up to A$25,000.

This year we are climbing Mont Blanc for three charities, including Leadership Through Sport and Business.  Leadership Through Sport and Business is a UK social mobility and employability charity, combining sport and business to enable young adults with a spark to fulfil their potential and enjoy the benefits of employment.

Leadership Through Sport and Business offers school leavers, particularly from underprivileged areas, a unique apprenticeship programme that enables them to develop their leadership potential, learn accounting skills and gain practical experience in paid employment. 

To help raise essential funds, our team of novices plan to climb the summit of Mont Blanc - which at 4,810 metres above sea level is not only the highest in the Alps (and the 11th highest in the world by topographical prominence), it is also Europe's deadliest mountain.  Please help us make sure that every metre we climb helps this fabulous cause!
