Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On 28th 2015 we went to Low Force with my dad to celebrate his birthday. We took a picnic and swam in the river, we had a lovely time. 

Sadly our day turned to tragedy when we crossed the river to jump into the waterfall as we had seen others do on that day and other times we visited. When my dad jumped in he was overcome with the shock of the sudden submersion in such cold water it killed him and he disappeared from view in front of our eyes.

Teesdale and Weardale Search and Mountain  Rescue Team spent over 24 hours looking for him and finally thankfully recovered his body for us the next day. We were incredibly grateful to them for their efforts to find him and wanted to give them back something so that they can help others in a similar situation.

They are a group of volunteers who rely on donations to buy equipment used to carry out the work that they do. Please help me to raise as much money as possible to thank them for what they did for us. It means a lot to me to do this.
