We provide vital breaks and short holidays to sick, disabled and abused children in UK

Story

About us:

We are a group of 15-17 year olds from the Huntingdon area, currently in the Social Action stage of the National Citizen Service. We will be fundraising for the Happy Days Charity for the next 2 weeks. Despite only having known each other for just 2 weeks, we are a strong, determined group that would love to raise as much money and awareness for Happy Days as possible. Please help us to achieve this goal.

About the charity:
What a difference a day makes…

Happy Days Children’s Charity has been working in communities throughout the UK since 1992 to support courageous kids with additional needs with simple but vital respite breaks.  At a time of economic uncertainty, cuts to care support and fears of unemployment, families who already struggle are facing even harder times and a simple day out to relieve the stresses and strains of life
can often be beyond their means. Last year, Happy Days helped over 23,000 children with life-limiting illnesses, mental and physical disabilities and those who had suffered abuse and neglect with days out and experiences to the
seaside, the theatre, zoos, farms and activity parks. They also support brave children who have lost a parent or sibling and young carers taking on the responsibility of looking after a member of their family.

Happy Days receives no government funding and they rely on the support of people just like you to continue their vital work. So make today the day you start making a difference to courageous kids in your community.
