NCS is a government-run programme that gives teenagers the chance to make a change. As our final activity, we are given the opportunity to fundraise as a group for the charity of our choice. We initially chose Space4Autism because we have a member of our team who is autistic and the charity provides them with the opportunity to socialise and make new friends, as well as potentially giving them opportunities they might not have been offered without the support of the charity. Not only this, but the charity also provides the families of people with autism (from all different parts of the spectrum) the support and a safe, welcoming environment. Space4Autism is a relatively new charity that has only been running 11 years and was originally founded as a voluntary-run charity by parents. This charity has not only changed the lives of children living with autism, but also helped to remove the stigma around it. 

Unlike most charities, Space4Autism is run purely through donations and that is why we are so passionate about raising money as they are a smaller charity who do not get as much acknowledgement as most charities and it therefore relies on donations and so we would like your support in helping us to help them!

We will be starting out in a local primary school by presenting the idea to the students and helping host a non-uniform day to raise money. We will then go on to bag-packing in local supermarkets and for our main event, we will be holding a gig with local bands playing, this event will be full of activities for the younger audience and also for grown ups too.
