In September 2016 staff of Nairnsey Fisher & Lewis will be taking part in a gruelling 25 mile trek across Hadrian's Wall over the course of a weekend to raise as much money as possible for Havens Hospices.

When a family has been told that there’s no cure for their loved one’s illness, Havens Hospices can help, controlling pain and medication, supporting families, offering short breaks and caring for adults, babies, children and teenagers at the end of their lives. Fair Havens Hospice and Little Havens Hospice focus on the individual needs of the adults and children we care for, 'Making every day count' for those with life-limiting illnesses, and their families.

Havens Hospices are the only places in the area wholly dedicated to looking after those with an illness which could shorten their life.

The hospices help by controlling pain and medication, offering short respite breaks and caring for each child and patient at the end of their lives.

The specialist care Havens Hospices provide is free – for as long as it is needed – within the home and at the two hospices, Fair Havens and Little Havens.

They’re a registered charity, not part of the NHS, and receive limited government funding. The hospices can only exist because of the support and generosity of the community. This is only possible thanks to the generosity of the thousands of Havens Hospices supporters who donate time, money and goods to the charity, ‘Making every day count’ for those who need them.
