We support people across Scotland to have better mental health and well-being

Story

At the end of May 2014 I am going to attempt to row solo across the North Atlantic Ocean, from New York to Stornoway on the Isle of Lewis, Scotland. I am hoping to complete the crossing of 3400 miles in just over 3 months. Only 10 people have ever successfully completed this crossing solo and no one has ever attempted the route I will be taking.

I am fundraising for the Scottish Association for Mental Health (SAMH) and am also aiming to raise awareness about mental health issues in general. We all know someone who is suffering, or has at some point suffered, in some way with regard to their mental health. Any donation that you feel you can make will be hugely appreciated and will go towards helping SAMH continue their valuable work all over Scotland.

(Please note that all donations made through this page will go directly to SAMH. If you would like to make a donation to the NY2SY project e.g. paying for the boat. training, equipment, logistics, then please get in touch via the website.)

Thanks so much for your generosity.
