I am lucky enough to work at an amazing organisation in Brighton - The YMCA DownsLink Group. I am based at two high support housing projects in Brighton and Hove that houses some to the cities most vulnerable teenagers and young adults (16-25yrs old).

"Love in a Box"

Every Christmas we ask our friends if they can donate Christmas gifts for the young people that live in our supported housing projects. Many of our young people do not see any family over the holidays and for the majority it will be the only Christmas present that they will receive this year. It is truly amazing to see how touched and grateful they are to receive their “Love in a box” presents.

It is our aim that everyone living in our houses has at least one gift to open this Christmas morning. We are raising money to achieve this goal. We will put all the donated money towards giving our residents a Christmas to remember. We are collecting up till the 15th December so this will give us time to buy and hopefully personalise the gifts to each resident in time for the BIG DAY!
