This summer I will be raising money for The Big House Theatre Company.

Following a show I saw in Easter, I was incredibly inspired by the work that this charity does. It provides support and guidance to care leavers through group work and theatrical productions allowing them to make a safe transition towards an independent adult life. I believe that the work of this charity is not only innovative but truly lifesaving and that the project is incredibly important to those involved.

It is not a charity that receives an awful lot of publicity or funding and therefore needs the support of those who are aware - another major driving force of my support for this charity.

In addition, i will be donating the actual hair to the Little Princess Trust. This is a charity that provides wigs for children with long term medical hair loss http://www.littleprincesses.org.uk/ Donations like these can make a real difference to the lives of these children and if you can't make a monetary donation, I encourage you to donate some of your own hair as these wigs are incredibly expensive (~£2000). If you consider the feat of chopping off your hair to be too daunting, consider how it feels for a young child who has none.
