The Miles of Smiles Appeal was launched through Chronicle Newspapers in Chester in 1992 to send sick, disabled and under-privileged children from Chester and district, Wirral and North Wales on the trip of a lifetime.

 

Over the past 20 years a dedicated Committee of volunteers together with an army of Individuals, groups, organisations and businesses have helped raised nearly almost a million pounds to help make dreams come true for hundreds of families. As well as funding annual trips to Disneyland Paris and Lapland we have supported other local Charities and special schools and helped change many lives for the better.

 

The trips are something these children benefit from greatly and remember forever. It is entirely due to the generosity of individuals, groups, associations and businesses that raise funds for the appeal.

 

Everyone involved in the Appeal works entirely on a voluntary basis so every penny donated or raised goes directly towards the next Disneyland Paris Trip.

 

Myself and Hayley were lucky enough to be taken to Disneyland Paris through Miles Of Smiles when we were young, and the memories we shared and held we often talked about and I now cherish more than ever.
