2 years ago Nathan proposed to me on the finish line of Ironman UK and in 3 weeks, 3 weeks before we get married, he's decided to do it for the third time!! This time, however, he is doing it to raise money for something very close to my heart. Last August my mum had a life changing accident where she suffered full thickness burns to 30% of her body. She spent 3 months in Whiston Hospital in the burns unit and intensive care. My dad also received burns in the accident and spent a week with my mum on the burns unit. My Mum has undergone skin graft operations and different procedures and still has regular visits to the hospital. The team who looked and continue to look after my mum saved her life and, week by week, they have helped me to get my mum back. So, in the way he does best, Nathan is raising money to support the work of the amazing team of doctors, nurses and therapists who have helped my mum. We would be so grateful for any sponsorship of another of Nathan's crazy challenges to support a cause very close to our hearts. - Kate xx
