Story
While attending the NECTM (6th Northern European Conference on Travel Medicine) I have joined a team running in the London 10000 on 30th May 2016. I will then be participating in the Stockholm Marathon on June 4.
Given the global nature of my running, I am raising funds for a global cause to reduce the impact of rabies by supporting the Global Alliance for Rabies Control. (https://rabiesalliance.org) who work with national & local governments and communities to help them set up sustainable, effective rabies control programmes.
The scope of the problem is that rabies kills 59,000 people a year, of which 95% are from impoverished communities in Africa & Asia.
