Story
Hi everyone,
In 2014, Michael's mum, Aileen Hogan sadly lost her battle with cancer and passed away, leaving behind a huge gap in many people's lives. Since then, it has been extremely difficult adjusting to life without her. For a while now, we have been thinking of ways we can raise money in her name and we have finally settled on the National Three Peaks challenge. We feel that this is the perfect way to remember Aileen who was born and raised in Canada, the home of the Rockies. Unfortunately, in the UK we don't have mountain ranges as spectacular as the rockies. However, in order to pay tribute to Aileen and Canada we have decided to take on the challenge of climbing the highest mountain in England (Scafell Pike), Scotland (Ben Nevis) and Wales (Mt. Snowdon) all in 24 hours on the 30-31st of July 2016.
Cancer affects us all whether it is directly or indirectly. We have chosen the Big C charity which is a fantastic charity, putting the funding towards equipment, care for people affected by cancer and into world class research. With your help, you can help us fight cancer and really make an impact on people's lives who are suffering right now with this illness. No matter how small or large any donation will be welcome.
