My wife Jane and myself carry out some voluntary work for Wolverhampton Retired Greyhound Trust which involves attending awareness events, home checks for prospective homes and in Jane's case helping out at the kennels looking after the hounds looking for new homes. Another one of our volunteer duties is taking one of our westies Buster to meet the hounds to determine if they are "small animal friendly".

In a moment of madness (possibly after a few beers) I got roped in, (excuse the pun) to abseiling down the art gallery in Walsall, which for someone who is not keen on heights is a a daunting prospect.
