Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On 13th April 2016 I will be setting off  'solo' from St-Jean-Pied-de-Port in the foothills of the Pyrenees, following an old Pilgrimage trail called the Camino frances or the Camino de Santiago, which extends 500 miles across the north of Spain to Santiago itself. I'm doing this to raise funds for St Margaret's Hospice.

I will be carrying a rucksack containing only the essentials, and even then in their lightest form for such a trip, staying at basic hostels or 'albergues' along the way.

Yes, it will be a challenge, particularly with dodgy hips, but on the back of support for St Margaret's Hospice I will do my best to reach Santiago in the 4 to 5 week I have set myself.

Thank you so much on behalf of myself and St Margaret's Hospice.
