We are 10 intrepid trekkers attempting the foolhardy challenge of climbing the 3 highest peaks in Scotland, England and Wales over the course of 3 days this July.  And we aren't that young...only young hearted...

A challenge wouldn't be a challenge without raising sponsorship for a good cause and Kisharon (www.kisharon.org.uk) is just that.  In its 40th year, Kisharon continues to touch the lives of hundreds of individuals with learning disabilities on a daily basis through an advice service, a nursery, a special school, a further education college, an employment service, day support and independent living.

Our ring leader, Jeff thinks BIG!  And as he will be celebrating his 50th milestone together with Kisharon's CEO, Bev, who is also joining us on the trip, they have decided to set ourselves the significant £50,000 target. 

In August, Kisharon will be opening an exciting and innovative new social enterprise - a gift shop and print and design studio which aims to provide employment training for adults with learning difficulties.  All the proceeds donated by you from this climb will go towards making this dream a reality.  So rather than planting a flag on the peak of each mountain, we thought that we would rather leave a lasting legacy for those whose every working day can be an uphill battle.

We are coming together from all corners of the world (America, Australia, the UK and via Israel) to meet, some nearly 50 years after graduating college together.  We are all paying our own way and travelling a long way to be there, so rest assured that 100% of what you donate goes directly to benefit those whom Kisharon supports.
