Story
Mark Nella and his sons, Mario and Stefano will be embarking on an incredible journey cycling from London to Carisolo, Italy, the reverse route their great grandfather Emilio Nella took in 1901. When he walked and worked his way through Europe pushing his grindstone and sharpening along the way. It took him over a year and upon his arrival in London he founded Nella Cutlery. This was the start of our family buisness.
They will start by taking part in the London-Paris 2016 charity bike ride. This in itself is indeed an achievment but just to add to the excitement the boys will continue on through France, Germany, Austria and over the Dolomites into Italy and our family village, Carisolo. We expect the entire journey to take around 14 days, covering 1000 miles!
For such a huge challenge we are asking for your help in raising money for Debra a charity comitted to finding a cure for Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB) a group of genetic skin conditions which cause the skin to blister and tear at the slightest touch. We will also be raising money for Bloodwise on the second leg of the cycle (Paris-Italy) This charity is very close to our family's heart as mark's father Pier Franco died at the age of 44 from Leukaemia. Both charities our family has been supporting over the last few years.
We are asking you to dig deep and donate to this worthy cause and follow our boys on this epic journey. Just 1,000 ten pounds and our target is met!
