Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Ashley Wilmott, Andy Ashton and I, three middle aged men in lycra from Upton in Chester, as well as Neil Frankland from Rothley are entering a couple of cycling events this year. We are riding in the Wiggle Cheshire Cat on 25 March, which is a 74 mile ride including the Mow Cop "killer mile" (#mce_temp_url#) which is a one mile climb for which there is a separate medal for those who make it to the top without putting a foot down. I am not built for hill climbing!
On 8 July, Ashley and I are then doing the 90 mile Liverpool to Chester bike ride (#mce_temp_url#). Longer, but thankfully a lot flatter, but we have to complete it within 7 hours to get back through the tunnel before they re-open it, otherwise it is the Mersey Ferry to collect the car!
Between us we are collecting for three very worthwhile charities. Save the Family helps to keep families together to teach them to stay together in the future. MIND helps people take control of their mental health and Alder Hey is one of the largest Childrens' hospitals in Europe, caring for nearly 200,000 children each year.
We, and they, would appreciate anything you are able to contribute. Don't forget to gift aid it!
