THE FAMILY... We are the Brown family consisting of Mum (Julia), Dad (Darrell), brother (Matthew), myself Niamh age 7 and my little sister (Martha Rose).

NIAMH'S STORY

We have set this page up in honour of my daughter Niamh who was diagnosed with a form of childhood Cancer called Juvinille Granulosa Cell Tumour of the Ovary in July 2013 and after surgery to remove the tumour, her left ovary and appendix she underwent a course of chemotherapy which started in August 2013.  She is now on monthly check ups and doing really well. 

After a difficult year we were put in touch with the charity When You Wish Upon a Star. What an amazing charity we came to discover. They bring so much joy to seriously ill children at such a critical time in their lives.

Niamh was lucky enough to receive a place on the charities yearly trip to Lapland.  What can I say ... Magical!! 

PAY IT FORWARD

Since Niamh has been ill different people have approached us with their fundraising ideas and asked us if they could raise money on behalf of Niamh. So the question was which charity she would like to support. Well that was easy it had to be When You Wish Upon a Star. Niamh wanted to pay it forward to make sure other seriously ill children in the future received a special wish from the charity like she did.

Every year When You Wish Upon a Star send 100 families on a magical Xmas trip to Lapland. It costs the charity £500 to send each person on the trip so around £100,000 to send a full flight. 

Our aim is to raise enough money to send 10 families on this trip in the future.

So if you want to do a charity fundraiser in Niamh's name it couldn't be simpler.  Whether it's a charity bike ride, a run, a fundraiser at work or a bake sale at school, call it Pay it forward with Niamh to When you Wish Upon a Star and donate your raised money through this just giving page and it will go directly to Niamh's chosen charity.. Just think you could try and aim you charity event to raise £500 which would sponser a child to go to Lapland.

Or how about aiming higher.. Another trip the charity organises is to send a lot of families on a big Centre Parcs trip.. Your money could be sponsoring a family to spend a special well needed family holiday together at Centre Parcs... Let's see how many people we can send there.

Another thing your money cold go to is making a child's wish come true whether it's a trip, meeting there idol or getting that special gift it's very well deserved xx
