Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. This means that you're one of the few who are interested enough to find out more but who will not necessarily make a donation.
And why should you make a donation? Well, The Gingerbread Centre does great work with one of the forgotten segments of society.
If being a lone-parent family is tough - and I think we can all agree that it is - imagine how difficult it must be to raise children whilst also being out on the streets.
92p in every £1 you donate goes directly towards the support of homeless vulnerable families and children in Stoke-on-Trent and North Staffordshire. The other 8p is used to fund awareness and keep things running.
"Well, that's fine, but the problem is, Nick, you're just not very funny. All you do is post shit puns; tell me why I should part with my hard-earned children's inheritance to ultimately benefit you?"
- I appreciate your concern, and to some extent I do agree with you. Consider this, however, when Leonardo Di Vinci drew sketches of the staff at KFC on napkins to pay for his Popcorn Chicken (tm), did the world judge him? Or did they give him time to eventually paint the Mona Lisa, the Sistine Chapel and to construct the Colossus of Rhodes? Yes, that's right - think on.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or spam you with unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
WOW! Thanks so much to everyone who has sponsored me - I wasn't sure if I'd end up with any money whatsoever, but thanks to some generous big tippers, we reached the original target of £200 in only four hours! That's incredible. You're all lovely and beautiful creatures.
The show will be on Monday the 25th November at 19:30 in Keele University's Student Union Ballroom. £4 for students and £5 for real people.
