Story

The world lost an absolute legend back in November 2007. His name was Sundeep Watts and his life was cut short. He would have gone on to be prime-minister and president all at the same time. A keen tennis player, rower, academic, michael jackson fan, joker and instigator.

Deep, as he is known to his mates, had a love for Africa, especially Kenya. Since he passed away, the family set up The Sundeep Watts Memorial Fund, which takes an active role in building schools, implementing facilities, and giving children, who live in seriously deprived areas, a future.

The current goal is to transform a fledgling school for largely orphaned girls and boys, between the ages of 3 and 14 years old, into one with basic facilities for primary education. Joyce Lands School. Rongo, Kenya.

This is a charity whereby any donation is going directly to the project. The money raised will go into building toilets for the schoolchildren, the toilets currently in place are not fit for purpose. The money raised will fund the build of six toilets for boys and six for girls.

Any amount is hugely appreciated and please know that it will encourage me to drag myself a little faster around the island for my first marathon.

My target is 3 hours 45 mins

Asante

Baxter
