Story

Sam loves cycling - he'll be 5 in June, rides without stabilisers and is currently learning to stop using brakes instead of gravity.   Sam is aiming to ride up-to 10 miles round the landmarks of London in Freecycle on July 30th.

I love cycling - I'm 42, also ride without stabilisers and am currently remembering how gravity works against you uphill.   I'm aiming to ride 100 miles from Olympic Park in London to the Mall via the Surrey Hills on July 31st.

We're riding to support GUTS, a fantastic charity that helped diagnose Dad's bowel cancer.   We lost Dad 4 years ago this summer, but are always thankful for the time we had with him, most certainly longer as a result of the GUTS screening program.

About the charity

GUTS is committed to detecting bowel cancer early. It's a sad fact that 1 in 20 people will develop bowel cancer; it's the second most common cause of death by cancer, affecting both men and women. GUTS strives to change this - detected at the earliest stage, there is a 90% chance of survival.
