We vaccinate and neuter dogs in Jaipur to prevent humans from dying of rabies

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

We will be in the fabulous city of Jaipur in India in November, and we plan to visit the local charity "Help In Suffering", who rescue and rehome all kinds of animals as well as organising vaccination and neutering programs for the city's dog population.

Their work helps all different kinds of animals, from dogs to monkeys, horses and even camels. Help in Suffering is funded purely by charitable donations, with 35 staff and volunteer helpers, 3 rescue ambulances and 2 mobile clinic vehicles.

Paul and Niki would like to make a donation to Help In Suffering, and plan to climb to the top of Mount Maroma, the highest peak in the province of Malaga, to raise funds for this worthy cause. At 2066m, Maroma is roughly twice the height of Ben Nevis.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

Every year 61000 people die from rabies. 99% of cases of human rabies are caused by dog bites. Our team of vets vaccinate the dog population of Jaipur to control rabies and prevent spread to humans. We also run veterinary clinics treating working horses, donkeys, camels, cows and wildlife.
