Story
Wycombe High School is proud to have 55 sports teams across 19 different sports. Our girls deserve a modern versatile surface, complete with floodlights to extend sporting participation and success all year round. Currently students have to change into PE kit then walk/drive to a pitch nearby limiting play time. This new facility will support our students as well the local community.
I have been a keen cyclist for a few years now. Cycling 100 miles (in one go) has been a vague goal for a while so I thought it was about time to make it a reality! In context, the furthest I have cycled in one hit is 100km so I need to find another 60km from somewhere!
Not one to do things by halves, I am planning to ride the full 100 miles (or as far as I can) at school with my trusty bicycle attached to a stationary trainer on Sports Day! So while the girls are running, jumping and throwing their way around the track and field, I'll be pedalling furiously with my cap on the floor for donations. This is not an easy challenge; it will be 5-6 hours of non-stop cycling plus I'll need to train hard beforehand to enable my legs to go the distance!
If you are able to support us with a donation of any size, we would be very grateful. It all adds up! You can even donate by text message; simply text to 70070, using the unique code (below) and your donation amount, i.e. "NMON50 £5".
A cushion for when I have finished would also be appreciated.
Thank you in anticipation of your support!
