Story
Nicola, our daughter, sister, aunty, friend, dance teacher and true inspiration passed away peacefully on May 26th 2016, after an eight year battle with a brain tumour.
She fought with positivity, grace and patience. Four major brain surgeries, radiotherapy, four gruelling ten month long chemo sessions, to mention but a few things. She never said ‘It’s not fair’. She just got on with it. Every time the tumour knocked her down she got up and fought harder.
Despite losing her life at a very young age, in her last days she was still thinking about other people. Along side the tumour (as if she didn’t have enough to deal with) she suffered from Fybromyalgia, giving her constant muscle fatigue, stiffness and pain. She wanted to raise money for this very good cause in the hope that she could make other peoples life with an invisible but very real chronic illness easier.
When life gave her a hundred reasons to cry, she came up with a thousand reasons to smile.
