Story
Our special little princess Nicole passed away in her sleep on the morning of Monday 8th of February 2016. Nicole was born in 1998 with a unique genetic condition, causing severe learning and physical development problems. Despite Nicole's condition she was never without a smile. She was a happy little girl that loved to cuddle and had a cheeky sense of humour.
Nicole was the bravest, most courageous little girl you could ever meet. She was truly amazing. Nicole touched our lives with love, joy and happiness that we will cherish forever. Her beautiful smile could brighten even the darkest day. She meant so much to her family, friends and everyone who knew her. She was our precious, beautiful little angel, hero, and princess. We couldn't have asked for a better daughter.
Nicole attended the Coppice School from the age of two. This is a local special needs school specialising in children with severe learning and physical disabilities. The staff at The Coppice have been wonderful to Nicole over the years, they have supported Nicole over the years and ensured that Nicole has enjoyed her life to the full. Throughout the years, Nicole had developed many close friendships with her school friends, teachers, therapists and teaching assistants.
Nicole regularly attended the sensory rooms within The SPACE Centre via The Coppice School and the weekend sessions. The SPACE Centre cater for people with a wide range of disabilities including Cerebral Palsy, Profound Multiple Disabilities, Autism, and brain injuries. They have three sensory rooms that can be used by anyone with special needs. These rooms provide stimulation & relaxation, encourage communication & movement.
