Story
Hi, thanks for visiting my page.
My name is Nirlep, I have just turned eleven and I live in Handsworth, Birmingham in the UK.
I enjoy playing football, dodgeball, tabla and watching films - I have recently learnt that I really enjoy trekking and climbing up mountains.
On 9/11 this year, I climbed Mount Snowdon - the tallest mountain in Wales as part of the Nishkam Challenge training scheme - this was not easy and I wanted to stop at many times during this difficult mountain. But, with the support of other people on this trek I managed to do it - thanks guys :)
Since then, I started doing regular walks and training in my area and on 22/10/2016 I am climbing Scafell Pike with the Nishkam Challenge - this is the tallest mountain in England.
I am doing this because I want to raise some funds from my friends, family, teachers and other people that I know to help re build the maternity ward in the Kericho District Hospital in Kenya.
This is the place where mothers give birth and babies are born. I was shocked and also very sad to learn that LOTS of children and mothers die in this hospital and region. This is because they do not proper facilities that we all take for granted.
Can you take a minute to support me?
If yes, please hit the DONATE button and make a difference for mothers and babies in Kenya.
Please wish me luck and give me your blessings as this is the first time that I have ever done anything like this.
Thank you.
Respectfully and Humbly Yours,
Nirlep Singh
