Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I have decided to cut my hair to raise funds and awareness for the UJIA (United Jewish Israel Appeal). The money that I raise will be donated to support Ethiopian Jews that live in Israel and would like to celebrate their Bar Mitzvahs.
As I will soon be celebrating my own Bar Mitzvah, I have decided to twin my Bar Mitzvah with an Ethiopian Jew who is also 12 years old.
‘Poormancurlyhair’ my name for the last 18 months will become a thing of the past in 8 days time. What will my closest friends call me when ‘poormancurlyhair’ turns into ‘poormannohair’? These are the kinds of questions that are buzzing round my head (no pun intended) as I await the cut throat razor.
At the moment I am feeling very scared since it has been two years since my last haircut and I don’t really remember what I looked like beforehand. One of my fears is that I might just look like my dad. I might even end up wearing a hat in school.
This is a big event for me personally and so all donations from £1 to £1 million pounds are welcome!
Thank you for your support.
