Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
Our beautiful little boy Noah died on 25 January 2012, shortly after his second birthday and three weeks before the birth of our daughter, Daisy. Noah had a rare condition called mitochondrial disease which caused his heart to fail and we await news as to whether Daisy is also affected.
We have been fundraising for a charity called CLIMB (Children Living with Inherited Metabolic Diseases) and, together with the amazing efforts of friends and family, have raised almost £30,000 to date. CLIMB supports families and funds research into these serious and often devastating diseases. We've been told that Noah's fund has already contributed to a step improvement in the diagnosis of mitochondrial disease so every pound is so worthwhile!
Our upcoming efforts include:
1. Star Babies - pre loved baby, toddler and preschool items, donated for sale by the community (www.facebook.com/starbabiesni)
2. Noah's Big Night In on 25th January (think 'coffee morning for the under 50s'!)
3. Louise Martin's London Marathon effort - bag packing, hug in a mug event, abseiling and more to come... Louise has her own London Marathon page or you can donate here and leave her a message!
