Hello, my name is Noah Ellam and I am 11 years old. I am in my last week of junior school and cant wait for my new journey at high school to begin...but I know for some children they wont get that chance...because they will be too poorly, to go to high school, junior school or even infant school...because they will be poorly, just like Ruddi was.
I've had a tough time at junior school but that's all behind me now, its time for a new start and I want to start that by helping people. The first people I want to help are Ruddi's Retreat as they are special to me.
Ruddi is my friend and so are his mum, dad & sisters. We used to live on the same street and my mum is also Ruddi and his little sister's childminder.
So.....here is the plan, me & my mum have talked with Ali and this is how we're starting...!!!
I am going to shave all my hair off!!......arrrrrggghh scary, but so worth it!!
The Ruddi's Retreat vans need updating so we have drawn up a wishlist!!!! The more money I can raise the more we can get for them, so please please please sponsor me as much as you can.....our wishlist is:
- a tv for each of the childrens bedrooms
- new up-to-date games consoles & games
- new indoor board games
- outdoor games & scooters
- Garden furniture & chairs
I know there's lots but even if I can just get them one thing it would be great! Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaase help me!!!!!!!!
MESSAGE FROM MUM:
Noah has always lacked confidence in himself, especially his appearance & with his self-esteem. He suffers with eczema and he's aware that he has a bit of bumpy shaped head from problems as a baby. For him to come and ask me & his dad to be able to shave his head was a HUGE thing. Shaving his head will mean it's more obvious as he's covered it up in the past with trendy hairstyles trying to hide in the crowd...so to put himself 'out there' is something we are very proud of.
He is aware of the Macmilliam Brave the Shave appeal but he has a close bond with Ruddi & his family so wanted to make his appeal more personal to him...so we will do everything we can to support him and Ruddi's xxx
