Story
Who are Street Doctors?
Well, our aims are simple:
1. Reduce the mortality and morbidity of young people affected by knife, gun and gang crime
2. Provide empowerment for vulnerable young people to help them make better life choices
Street Doctors is a national charity that is dedicated to changing the lives of vulnerable young people in the UK and Ireland by giving them skills and confidence to deliver life saving first aid in actual trauma situations likely to affect them.
Street Doctors also help to provide positive empowerment to young people who are at risk of being victims of gang violence, to help them make better life choices.
The Street Doctors volunteers are made up Junior Doctors and Medical Students who give their free time to provide regular teaching and training sessions to young people at risk across the UK
Funds raised are used to support the national charity at all our major cities, and provide equipment, teaching materials and set-up costs as well as help our expansion across the UK and Ireland.
Thank you for your support.

VIOLENCE IS THE THIRD LEADING CAUSE OF DEATH OF YOUNG PEOPLE IN EUROPE. SOME OF THESE DEATHS HAPPEN BECAUSE THE PEOPLE PRESENT DO NOT KNOW WHAT TO DO; THEY PANIC AND DON’T CALL FOR HELP. TEACHING THESE YOUNG PEOPLE TO CALL 999 AND EFFECTIVELY DELIVER SIMPLE FIRST AID CAN AND DOES SAVE LIVES. BUT BY HIGHLIGHTING THE DEATH AND SIGNIFICANT INJURY ASSOCIATED WITH VIOLENT CRIME, WE ALSO HELP TO DISCOURAGE YOUNG PEOPLE FROM CARRYING WEAPONS IN THE FIRST PLACE.
STREETDOCTORS IS A CHARITY REGISTERED IN THE UK. WE CHANGE THE LIVES OF HIGH RISK YOUNG PEOPLE BY GIVING THEM THE SKILLS THEY NEED TO DELIVER LIFE-SAVING FIRST AID. BUT AS WELL AS SAVING LIVES WE USE FIRST AID AS A TOOL TO EDUCATE AND EMPOWER THESE YOUNG PEOPLE, GIVING THEM CONFIDENCE AND A SENSE OF RESPONSIBILITY FOR THEIR ACTIONS, HELPING TO CHANGE THEIR ATTITUDE TOWARDS VIOLENCE.
