Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Together with Liam Garcia of The Long Well Walk and Thandi Haruperi, friend and co-walker of the River Thames in 2014, we are taking on the exciting challenge of walking 300 miles across Zimbabwe from Bumi Hills passing through Matusadona National Park and finishing at St David’s School in Chihota, starting on 27th May 2017. We aim to take 25 days, resting only approximately 4 days in this time.
We are acknowledging 12 years of Vana's offering practical help to children in Zimbabwe and the UK whose lives are blighted by poverty and sickness or other debilitating issues such as autism.
We are hoping to be joined along the way by the Trust’s supporters and encourage people to help us raise at least £20,000.
The Trust has made a significant difference to hundreds of individuals of all ages with a range of challenging
issues. With YOUR support we can help even more deserving people to achieve their potential. Please donate if you can.
In the UK, a Livestock Barn: Will enable us to
overwinter pigs, allow for breeding and increasing stock. The beneficiaries will be able to be involved with all aspects of breeding new animals on the farm. Furthermore, they will gain a sense of achievement, skills and experience a wider variety of animals.
In Zimbabwe, a Borehole: which will be used by hundreds of people for fresh clean water; a Science Lab: for children to gain practical experience doing science subjects at St David’s.
