Story
Here I go again!
Later this year I will be walking the 26 mile London Marathon route with a team of Out of Afrika supporters raising much needed funds for the charity's educational projects in Kenya.
ICT College opened it's doors in 2007 with just a handful of teaching staff and students. There have since been over 200 students each year, educated in academic and vocational courses at the college.
Progress has been impressive over the years with many students going on to find employment or start up their own micro businesses after completing their courses. There are still projects to be completed such as building workshops and a nursing/medical centre and the funds raised from this Trekathon will be used for this cause.
I loved the London walk last year and am really looking forward to it again this year. However, this doesn't mean it is not a challenge! It is a tough 1 day walk and will be very challenging again. My aim is to complete the course with my team. We are not in a race but would like to complete it in good time whilst enjoying our day and raising lots of money for a great charity.
I will be visiting Kenya in June to see the Out of Afrika projects, so I will make sure I take lots of photo's to post to this page.
