Story

What will we be doing?

It’s no surprise then that more people have been into space, or climbed Mt Everest than rowed the Atlantic.

Ocean Reunion will row 3,000 nautical miles across the world's second largest ocean, heading west from the Canary Islands to Antigua.

“The worlds toughest race” - We could face 50ft waves, hurricane strength winds, 40 degrees heat, while suffering from bruised bodies, blisters bums, fatigue and sleep deprivation taking an average of 60 days

In those 60 days, we will consume 1680000 calories (7336 Big Mac’s), drink 2880 litres of water and each team member potentially will only have 240 hours of sleep in order to pull the oars 1 million times.

Essentially we will be eating, sleeping and rowing… non-stop! We will be rowing in 2 hour shifts, non stop. While half the team row, the other half will be sleeping, eating and working on inevitable boat maintenance.
