On the 28th & 29th May 2016 around 20 friends from the Redditch area will be cycling 100 miles along the canal paths.

The team will be raising vital funds for the charity 'Molly Olly's Wishes' in memory of Ollie Stevens.
Ollie Stevens was a remarkable boy. He was diagnosed with Ewings Sarcoma ( a bone or soft tissue cancer) in July 2014 when he was 9 years old. He endured a gruelling year of hospital visits and treatment and yet despite his own problems, Ollie never stopped wanting to help other children like himself who were experiencing difficult times. With the help of his hugely supportive family he raised over £13000 for charities such as Birmingham Children's Hospital and Molly Olly's Wishes. In August 2015 he held a yard sale at his home and invited friends and neighbours raising a further £800. Sadly, Ollie's cancer returned at the end of 2015 and Ollie lost his battle in January of this year. No words can ever express the immense sadness his family feel and devastating impact this has.
Molly Olly's Wishes became involved with Ollie's family when one of the team helping Ollie suggested he have a wish for a laptop from Molly Olly's. When we met the family for the first time we were immediately struck by their huge warmth and love for each other and their thoughtfulness at all times for others despite their own difficulties. They are an incredible team and we know what a huge void has been left losing Ollie. The Ollie Stevens Memorial Bike Ride will remember a true superhero and we believe Ollie would have wanted to carry on helping other children like him. With that in mind all money raised will support Molly Olly's Wishes to grant wishes to children with any terminal or life threatening illness and to provide the therapeutic toy Olly The Brave and the accompanying book to hospitals across the UK. Hopefully as it did for Ollie, money raised will help make the dark days brighter for children and their families.
