Today, majority of the rural population across Iraq is deemed by the UN to be living in chronic poverty. IOF is one of the many organisations that aim to alleviate the suffering of the people of a war-torn, relying solely on charitable contributions from individuals and institutions through orphan sponsorship and donations. They ensure that the Iraqi orphans in the areas they are working in, are no less well fed and clothed than their contemporise, and that they are able to take advantage of the same educational opportunities as other children in more fortunate circumstances.

Iraqi Orphan Foundation works with rural communities in Iraq to improve primary and secondary education provision and, more recently, adult education opportunities as well. 

£360 a year is all it costs to send an Iraqi Orphan to University. This is such small change compared to the school and university fees in the West.

To date, IOF has over 6000 bright and intelligent Iraqi Orphans desperate to get out of the slums and make a good career for themselves. All they now need is a University Education to catapult them in the path that they deserve.

Please help me raise money to let 1000 orphan students of Iraq enter universities this year, and give them hope and a chance to make a difference to their lives and their family lives by giving them an education.
