How can I explain why I am doing this?  First and foremost to raise much needed funds for a rare childhood condition - Ataxia Telangiectasia (AT).  AT is a very complex genetic condition that affects a variety of different systems in the body, it is degenerative, currently with no treatment to slow down the progression and no cure.  It is a condition that two funny, bright, fun and fabulous boys have.  They are the same age as my eldest daughter and the adored sons of my dear friend.  So secondly I am doing this because I can't do anything for my friend, I am doing this so that other people can change the future for her and her family.  She works tirelessly to raise the profile of this condition, to work with the scientific community to encourage research into it and to fill her boys lives with as much love, laughter and fun as humanly possible.

I will be so grateful if you can help me try and make a difference to her and to other families living with this condition.  It's only a matter of time, we can make a better future.
