Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Ride London, now in its 4th year is the London marathon for cyclists. Even though I'm a regular cyclist, the event means cycling 100 miles, which is still a big ask.
I have been a member of Cycling UK (previously CTC) for over 20 years. They work to promote cycling in many ways and areas across all walks of life.
You may think the cause isn't at all comparable to that of the well known cancer and heart charities. However encouraging and enabling more people to cycle as a part of their lives will hopefully reduce their risk of heart disease, diabetes and even some cancers. Taking the bike rather than the car can help reduce pollution which puts further lives at risk.
So perhaps prevention, in addition to cure, isn't such a bad thing?
