I will be walking in celebration of the amazing lives of the people I know and have known affected by this devastating illness.  However, this year I will be carrying special memories of my wonderful Mum who passed away due to dementia a year ago. The five years of slowly losing her were unbearable at times, but now we are all at peace and our memories of her transcend the illness.
