Story
Sycamore Tree is a victim awareness programme that teaches the principles of restorative justice. It is taught in prisons to groups of 20 learners by Prison Fellowship volunteers. Prisoners on the programme explore the effects of crime on victims, offenders and on the community. The course discuss what it would mean for prisoners to take responsibility for their personal actions.
Prison Fellowship have engaged with 10,000 prisoners in prisons across England and Wales since Sycamore Tree started.
