HOW: Stella loves a challenge and is always the first to put herself forward for a charitable cause. Tired of the traditional methods of fundraising and having rattled more tins then she had hot dinners Stella is about to face her BIGGEST fear yet! The Owl Experience is aimed at owl lovers – Stella is petrified of owls; during her session she will learn all about these beautiful birds and have the opportunity to handle them Photographic proof will be provided!!!!

WHY: Stella says that “if you’re ruled by fear, you'll never take enough risks and never achieve success you deserve”. Adding that “this doesn’t mean the experience won’t be mentally challenging, but I've managed to retrain my brain to get past the momentary fear and push toward the money I will be raising for POW”.

ABOUT POW: POW Nottingham Ltd is a non-profit organisation supporting the rights of sex workers and those at risk of being exploited. POW supports the rights of individual sex workers to self determination. This includes the right to remain in sex work or leave sex work. POW aims to empower our diverse community focusing on ending violence and stigma through education, advocacy and peer support. The service provides a diverse range of health and wellbeing services via drop-in and outreach provision. This service includes satellite clinics for sexual health and drug misuse, condoms and sexual health information and facilitates attendance at health appointments in addition to delivering outreach sessions. POW Nottingham also seeks to affect larger societal change through advocacy and training, increasing public awareness and providing the tools needed to engage the local and national communities around issues of sex work and sexual exploitation.
