Story
The Coutts Private Office team is continuing its charity fundraising efforts this year participating in a number of events. These include “Tough Mudder”, and a few individuals from our team undertaking a bike ride from London to Paris in 24 hours then returning in 24 hours.
However, not everyone has been able to participate in some of the more challenging events. We are a very close knit team and have therefore decided to hold a flagship fundraiser where every member can participate. It needs to be stretching yet achievable for all and with this is mind we are arranging a 17+ mile walk along the Thames from Hampton Court to Putney. We are all looking forward to arriving at Putney Bridge having raised lots of money in support of Magic Breakfast!
We are supporting this charity as it is in line with our heritage and community engagement programme the current theme of which is the ‘prevention and relief of poverty’. A number of Coutts Private Office staff have worked with Magic Breakfast during 2014 and continue to do so through 2015.
Magic Breakfast provides free, nutritious breakfast food to more than 8,000 disadvantaged children in 242 primary schools (of which 127 schools are in London). As well as ensuring that the children don’t go hungry, the breakfast clubs aim to provide an environment in which children can learn, develop and enjoy themselves so they can make the most of their school life. 84p in every £1 donated goes directly to the provision of the breakfast clubs, and each breakfast costs just 22p per child. It would be terrific if you feel able to support us in helping Magic Breakfast make a real difference to the lives of these young children.
Many thanks
