I am going to sub-Saharan Africa as part of a training team, including consultants and experienced practitioners with anaesthetic, paediatric, midwifery and emergency trauma care skills.

Many of these countries are recovering from civil war.  Women and infants suffer and die for the want of basic interventions and care that we take for granted. Teaching students now, can empower them to implement  good evidence based practice and effectively improve morbidity and mortality. They will in turn be able to pass on their skills to their co-workers.

This fundraising goes directly to supporting us in bringing medical equipment, resources and training.
